Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding a debt that I believe to be incorrect or inaccurate. I am requesting the Consumer Financial Protection Bureaus assistance in investigating this matter.
Details of the Disputed Debt : Creditor Name : Harris & Harris XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : I have reviewed my credit report and noticed a debt listed under Harris & Harris which I believe to be inaccurate, unjust, and never existed. I have attempted to resolve the issue directly with the creditor, but the matter remains unresolved. Specifically, I am disputing the following issues : 1. [ Inaccuracy/Issue # 1 ] : The debt never existed.
2. [ Inaccuracy/Issue # 2 ] : Comcast claimed that I agreed to a contract, after being with them for 4 years. We received a new modem because they stated the one, we had was outdated. After such things, the internet still didnt work, and we proceeded to close the account. Thats when we were told that we were in a contract. This never happened. The lady who set us up on the new modem, unknowingly, added us to a contract, without our approval.
Despite my efforts to resolve this, the creditor has failed to provide sufficient documentation or evidence to validate the debt or correct the reported information. As a result, the debt is still being reported as valid and continues to impact my credit score.
Request for CFPB Action : Under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act ( FDCPA ) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), I have the right to dispute inaccurate information and seek corrections. As a consumer, I also have the right to request documentation or proof of any debt being reported. The creditor has not provided sufficient documentation to substantiate the debt in question.
Therefore, I am requesting that the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau intervene and assist in resolving this matter by : 1. Investigating the creditors reporting and collection practices.
2. Ensuring the creditor provides sufficient documentation to validate the debt, as required by law.
3. Taking appropriate action to ensure that my credit report is updated if the debt is found to be inaccurate or improperly reported.

This company has left many messages with my place of employment. When i called they say my companies number is listed and that is why they called it. This is 100 % false, my cell number is the only number listed with any medical provider. They have called 2 times a day for nearly a month, they have shared my personal information with our answering service on multiple occasions.
I filed a complaint against this company previously as they were harassing me on my cell phone and they never even had my proper identifying information. they had the wrong birthdate, address, and email none of which associated with me. I have since been forced to pay this as they continued to call my place of employment despite being told to stop calling them in the past.

I have been getting phones calls from this company Harris and Harris about owning taxes. The issue was the taxes were paid before they ever even tried to contact me. I told them on the first call to send proof of the debt. And to not call this number again. Now I get XXXX calls ever day.They are putting account services as the caller id. They refuse to provide any info, Just demand payment right then. Even threaten to take my house! They have been rude, even when advised the debt is not owed. They were asked for written proof of the debt over 30 days ago. And to dated still have not received it! They have provided false statement and tried to add fees not in our state contract with them! They have threaded to call my work and inform my boss I am committed crimes. They have threaten to take my house, and sue me. Report me to credit to ruin my good credit as the put it!

XXXX XXXX in XXXX has deceptive billing practices. They hide charges and submit billing to collections without any balance owed showing on their online portal. I have screenshots showing I have no owed balance to this organization yet I am receiving notices of debt collection. This account has transferred/sold and I am no longer responsible for the account. Debtor 's creditor did not verify this collection. There hasn't been no written form of communication or contract for this accused debt at all. A bill without a signature does not validate the debt and anybody can send a bill and say its mines.According to the FCRA, Harris LTD has violated my rights as a consumer and I am requesting legal action to remove this account immediately.

I am employed by a XXXX and insured by the XXXX . I ha d a Drs. visit that was not filed with my insurance correctly. Whatever the confusion, the debt was sent to debt collection before I ever received insurance information. A company name d Harris and Harris sta rted calling me sometimes twice a day. I called them and found that this was an incorrectly handled insurance issue. I called th e Drs. Office and s traightened out the issues. My insurance then covered the visit. I am still receiving calls-sometimes robo-even though this has been settled.

Harris and Harris called me two times, claiming I owe the Arizona Department of Revenue money, but they wo n't tell me why I owe them money or show me the paper trail of the debt. They refuse to send me all the documentation that supports this claim. They also claim that the Fair Debt Collection Practice Act does n't apply to them.

XXXX I got this automatic message from the number above. She said they were from the Consumer Protection Association. They left a number to call and a reference #.
I XXXX them and called them at their billing number. There was no answer.
I checked my credit report. Harris and Harris Ltd. Checked my credit yesterday, just the day when the weird phone calls started happening. Why are they calling me when they do n't even say what I owe? I do n't have any outstanding payments that I know of.

I have been recieving numerous calls from a company claiming that I owe a debt. When I attempted to find out what I owed for, they refused to tell me and attempted to get my personal information which I refused to give them.
